Polish Revolution Spring Swatches

My first nail mail at my new house was from the lovely Lauryn from Polish Revolution! I'm so excited about these polishes, I even stayed up til 4am to swatch them. (Yes, I'm crazy!) There are 2 sets of trios, however Lauryn will be releasing them all on Saturday in the Polish Revolution Etsy shop just in time before International shipping rates increase here in the US.

Also, be sure to follow/like PR on Facebook and Instagram (@polishrevolution)!

Note: I use Ridge Filler (RF) as a base coat for all of my manis, even swatches. It helps make application easier and more even, and also covers up stains on my nails and a tad bit of the VNL (visible nail line). This will affect the opacity of polishes, however...you may find you need an extra coat to reach the same opacity. I don't intend to mislead you, however I'd greatly recommend finding a RF basecoat to use because it may make your life much easier!

Springing Forward trio: Grin and Bare It, Summer State of Mind, Florals... For Spring?

This is Summer State of Mind, a coral jelly with teal glitters (including squares), pink, and white as well as hot pink shimmer (my photos didn't pick this up well but in direct light or bright light, it's noticeable!) I love this color, I'm so excited to incorporate corals and peaches into my nail polish collection (and wardrobe) for Spring and Summer this year. This polish will be perfect for both seasons! (And year-round if you don't care about that) The above swatches are 3 coats of SSoM over 1 coat of Ridge Filler. Next swatches show it layered over Illamasqua Lament, which is a perfect match in color!

Grin and Bare It: 2 coats over 2 coats of Ridge Filler
Grin and Bare It (love the wordplay!) is a nude jelly with large brown and copper glitters, as well as smaller copper, lavender, and turquoise glitters. The combination is beautiful, unexpected, and perfect. Swatches show 2 coats over 2 coats of RF.

Florals... For Spring?

Florals... For Spring? 2 coats over 1 coat of Ridge Filler
Florals... For Spring? Is an Easter-y pale blue with orange, lavender and turquoise glitters. Can you believe I don't own a pale blue creme to match this base color? I need one now, this is such a pretty, soft shade of blue and I love the contrast of the orange against it. Swatches show 2 coats of FFS over 1 coat of RF.

Glitterbox

Glitterbox: 1 coat over OPI Fly
Glitterbox is a mix of... well every color square glitter! Some are holo, some may even be iridescent, and it has a pretty purple shimmer in it. You can see the shimmer well in the swatch photos. Swatches are 1 coat of Glitterbox over OPI Fly, the 2nd photo is with direct light to show you how shiny this is! If you love square glitter you need this polish.

Zombie Gardens

Zombie Gardens: 3 coats over 1 coat of Ridge Filler
Keeping up the theme of Zombie polishes (Polish Revolution has also made polishes called Vegan Zombie, and Zombie Christmas as sort of a tradition!), this is Zombie Gardens. A light gray jelly with green, yellow, purple and pink glitters! I really love this one. I think I may dare to say it's my favorite out of these polishes!

Eleganza
Eleganza bottle macro
This beautiful purple polish is called Eleganza, and has orange, brown, teal, and maybe copper glitter. I wish I had a creme polish the color of this purple! So pretty. This one was the first I swatched so my application isn't as great as the others. I love how this one is a bit darker than the others, not blatantly "Spring" or "pastel" but perfect for Spring, nonetheless!
