Yeah... I couldn't think of a name for this one. I've seen this cool type of nail art floating around the blogosphere, but for the life of me can't think of examples of who's done it or what they call it. Mine's a fail, anyways... Well, I do like what I came up with, but it's not as perfect as what it's based on.
This is a base color of Essie Sand Tropez. I wore this all day yesterday, and then last night added weird shapes with Illamasqua Collide (neon pink) and Stance (purple). 2 coats of each polish; I particularly am glad I used these Illamasqua polishes, since they have that neon habit of drying matte/satin, but also drying quickly so I could get it done in one go. However, I did bump a few nails which gave them ridges, so I added another coat of Stance (which is why you see slight rippling and it looks thick). But overall, I am loving this look - I finally did the trendy neon + nude!
Fun! I've seen this design called Clouds--I think I saw it first on nailside's blog.
ReplyDeleteAhh, thankyou! I probably did see it from Nailside. I kept wanting to call it Clouds but mine are kind of... odd-shaped so I think they look more like half-flowers :)
DeleteVery cute! Love the color combo you picked.
